How cookies and storage work
Cookies and comparable browser storage can remember sign-in status, security state, preferences and media permissions. Some account data such as Continue Watching is stored on the server and is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Strictly necessary
WordPress authentication, session and anti-abuse controls may be necessary to run the service. These are not optional merely because a visitor declines external media. Their precise names and durations require an inventory.
External media: YouTube
YouTube embeds are withheld until you actively allow External Media. If you decline, the video is replaced by a placeholder. Allowing external media may send your IP address and technical information to Google and permit YouTube cookies. See Google’s and YouTube’s privacy and service terms.
Analytics and optional personalisation
Optional analytics and optional personalisation are disabled by default. Selecting them in the consent interface records a preference, but any future analytics integration must separately respect and enforce that choice.
Your controls
Use Cookie Preferences in the footer to accept, reject or update optional categories. Declining External Media prevents YouTube videos from loading on supported player paths. Revoking consent stops supported embeds and unloads active players on the current page.
Preference duration
The consent selection is stored in a first-party browser cookie for up to six months and can be changed sooner. A missing or invalid choice means optional categories stay off.
Third parties and transfers
Loading external media may involve transfers and processing by Google and its partners. We will maintain an updated service-provider and cookie inventory; current cookie names and lifetimes depend on the actual embedded service.
Limitations and updates
This consent system initially covers supported YouTube iframe embeds. Other plugins, external scripts and trackers must be audited individually. It is not a complete consent-management guarantee for every third-party integration. Material changes will be reflected here.
